«Pivovar» is situated at the end of the street Alexander Nevsky, is quite far from the center. The interior: dark wood, leather sofas, relaxed and fun atmosphere – mix of pub and national Czech restaurant.

Now about the beer. Here the main thing – the beer: fresh, cooked in its own brewery, very tasty. Total species – 4, light «Golden Pils», «Copper lager», «Weisbear» (wheat) and 1 dark – «Shvartzsbir» with notes and the smell of fried dark bread. We have been able to try «Shvartzsbir», boiled just that. This tasty beer, we still do not drink! Price – 140 rubles / liter. In addition to his own restaurant in a huge range of beers from different countries. Here, perhaps, the biggest selection of beer in Kaliningrad.

«Solyanka» café is situated near the entrance of the Zoo. It is famous not only for its cuisine but also because its owner is a Deputy of Town Council. Food is really tasty and home-made type. But this is the only advantage of the café. Interior is vulgar, ventilation is bad (as a result it’s always hot here and there is oppressive food smell), there is a crowd of visitors. A hipped roof of the open-air café spoils the front view of the old German building; as a result the café resembles an ordinary snack-bar.

If you asked me a year ago where the best pizza was in the city I would undoubtedly answer that it was in «Papasha Beppe». Now the food quality is worse but pizza is still savoury. The first pizzeria of the chain was opened in a small rathskeller in Leonov Str. Dimmed light and low ceiling create cosy atmosphere and make the restaurant a place of pilgrimage for couples in love. The waitresses are always attractive, food is delicious, menu is diverse and based on Italian cuisine. Before the meal you’ll be served newly-baked unleavened buns with spicy oil and then you’[ll be treated in-house orange liqueur.
